Create a Centennial Quilt

  • Friends of Southwest Public Libraries 3959 Broadway Grove City, OH, 43123 United States (map)

This fall the Friends of Southwest Public Libraries invites you to help us create a very special paper quilt to commemorate SPL’s Centennial. You may participate in any of our craft sessions, where you will decorate your very own quilt square to be added to SPL’s Centennial Paper Quilt. The Quilt will be displayed at WAL from October 1 - 15 and at GCL from October 16 - 31.

The Quilt’s theme is WHAT MY LIBRARY MEANS TO ME. Your quilt square might convey fond memories of the library, a favorite library program, or favorite book. You might want to illustrate how the library makes you feel or what makes SPL special to you. It’s up to you!

If you cannot make it to one of our craft sessions, take-home kits will be available at both libraries through September 17. Finished squares are due on or before Wednesday, September 20.
